All four windows on my ’97 explorer quit working. I’ve checked all fuses that are listed in a repair manual and they all have power going to them. I’m wondering if the window motor has gone out or if I need to replace the master switch which controls all windows. I can’t hear any noise such as a window motor running when I press the window buttons. I need to figure out what is going on because these west Texas days are a real scorcher at times.

I bought a 2007 Civic Sedan and my automatic windows (front driver side) is off alignment when I try to roll it up. The glass portion seems to pop out slightly and won’t close properly. When this happens, the window doesn’t fit into the slot. At first I didn’t notice until I kept hearing airflow from that area when driving. If I push (force) the window inwards, it will close properly. As you could see, this is very inconvenient!
Maybe there’s a rock or some other obstruction where I can’t see? Maybe somebody tried to break into the car by pulling the windows?
Does anybody know what’s wrong with the windows? How would I fix this? I want to see if I could fix this myself first before doing my last resort option of seeing mechanic.

I rent a home and we are not allowed to use plastic on our windows. Some of the windows are old, and leak air really bad. I tried weather strips last year but it didnt really work so well. Any suggestions? Should I use the plastic anyways? The window in my kids room makes a terrible hissing sound from the wind. Also some of the windows dont have storm doors on them. The newer windows are fine but the old ones are terrible they leak where the window shuts and hits the sill. Please help froze our butts off last year, and lost a bunch of heat and money. we cant use duct tape or anything like that either.
i cannot buy new windows or fix them my landlords nickname is balls which means yeah right she aint fixing a damn thing.
Any idea what adjustments I can make so the windows can be cranked all the way closed?

I used masking tape around my windows when i was painting (so no paint would get on the glass).
I left the tape on during the summer and now i cant get the tape off the window glass. When i try and pull it off most of it remains on there and is stuck solid. I have tried white spirit and lighter fuel and hot water but nothing will make it budge! any ideas?
