How long is apple pie filling good in the fridge?

Sarah D asked:

I was canning apple pie filling and some of it didn’t properly seal. Now I know I need some for baking this Friday/Sat. But will it last in the fridge til next tuesday? Thanksgiving? Christmas? Should I just fire up the canner and just redo it?

How long is apple cider vinegar good for?

Posted by dodatki | Posted in Other - Food & Drink | Posted on 11-03-2010

While cleaning out the dark recesses of my pantry, I have discovered an opened bottle of apple cider vinegar. Heaven knows how old it is, but since vinegar is basically wine that has already turned (and wine is fermented juice), can it get any worse? Is it still safe to use? I know it won’t kill me to buy a new bottle (and I probably will anyway) but I am curious. Thanks!

Even when it has been in a cold fridge for hours, apple juice never really tastes cold. Does anyone have an idea as to why?

I’ve found that the Granny Smith apple is a little tart for my taste. What’s the best or sweetest apple to snack on? I won’t be making any apple pies with them, just eating them plain…

But for some reason i stopped doing that for around a month and the next time i had a apple it made me feel sick and it still makes me sick to eat apples. What is wrong with me?

How do I keep an apple from turning brown?

Posted by dodatki | Posted in Other - Food & Drink | Posted on 29-10-2009

Is there any way to cut some of an apple to eat, or cut slices and keep the part I don’t eat from turning brown? Putting them in baggies doesn’t work. Please give some suggestions. Thanks!

What are some tasty ways to eat apples or drink apple juice?

Posted by dodatki | Posted in Other - Food & Drink | Posted on 23-10-2009

My GERD has been bothering me lately, so I’ve been experimenting with foods non-stop.I heard apples are pretty good for GERD, despite the fact that they’re acidic. Unfortunately,I hate apples. Do you know of a non-acidic juice I could mix apple juice with, and a tasty way to eat apples? I can’t eat salads btw. I used to eat apples with salad, but had to stop because I was experiencing stomach problems.

Thanks in advance!
