My son built my new computer from scratch, but lately he doesn’t have much time to help me, and I am no techie. How difficult is it to get a windows enabler downloaded and working? I want to hook up a new printer, and also be able to use some of my old programs that need windows.

I think What version of Fedora do you have?
You will need to go through the unofficial FAQ for your release. Follow directions and install the repositories.
A note: whenever you update, do not include any package with “jpp” as an extension
You will need to install qemu, kqemu, kqemu kmod, wine, cabextract and a few others.
go to the urls below to see a tutorial.
There isn’t much difficulty in setting up. I go for qemu + kqemu because it allows the process to be separate.
