I think vista and 7 are not the same thing at all. if you think it looks like shit then its probably your fault since you’re in total control of its appearance. and theres plenty of things w7 comes with that xp doesnt… all of the aero functions, libraries, instant indexed search, security, organization, improved gadget functionality, superbar, action center, easier maintenance, sensors, improved built-in software (notepad, paint, games, etc), and SPEED. i loved vista and still got w7 cuz its the BEST

When i right click bottom right corner it says “peek at desktop” instead of “preview desktop”

I think windows won’t die off anytime soon. there a multi billion dollar corporation and many business’s are dependent on them. don’t see a world shift to macs. who ever wanted one is already with them.

I think does anyone want to know why i will never go any higher then xp? cuz vista and 7 are just the same thing, but with newwer look that i find looks like shit. there isnt anything on windows 7 so far that i cant do on windows xp. and most of this i was doing on linux 6 years ago. i really dont care about how windows looks. i just want it to work. and microsoft and a dumb mother fucker. you click start to click off. wtf?

face it Windows is slowly dying away. Maybe windows 7 is trying to put them back on their feet but people want windows the way it is. Unless they go back to their simple features, less graphics and trying to stop being like Mac, they’re doomed. If there is going to be a new OS other than windows or mac ill try it.

wow i just bought a widows 7 today. i love it so much. well i have to say i did upgrade right from windows xp haha so for me its an amazing upgrade.. always been for windows

I have no problems running this. just a tad bit slower than my XP, but I can live with it.

windows 7 is a hybrid between vista and xp, it has the simplicity, speed and compatibility of xp but the graphical settings and features of vista, if you like xp you will prefer this over vista and if you have vista getting used to this new system may seem hard as it feels like its aimed at idiots who cant use a pc lol

I think Mac has done this stuff for ages. I ru XP on my MAc as wel as Mac OS. I don’t think there is anything wrong with he look of XP; Windows is just soooooooo SLOW!!!!!!! I hope this is an exception, I really do.

i was wondering…i run windows xp professional right now and i was thinking of switching over to windows7…if i install windows7..will i loose all my documents and porgrams and everything on my machine? or will it somehow transfer over or how do i save eveyrthing i have on my laptop? thanks

to me it is worthing because new games are getting more and more requiring and u will soon have to change the OS …
