this is right but most laptops dont ship with the original Windows 7 disc, so what will you do if you crash your windows.
This tuturial is an excellent tip and a big time saver. I don’t know how effective it is though. If it can store image, that will be great as it promises/says.

I think umm all the system repair shit is on the disc you used to install windows. just boot from it and click “repair my computer” so this video is a waste of a disc

Yeah, when you boot up your PC with the Windows 7 installation DVD and after inputting your language or what ever you’re given the option “Repair Your Computer”.
If your PC does mess up for some reason, when you restart your PC you’re given the option to do “Start Up Recovery”, “Safe Mode” and what not.
I guess this tip is handy for those who have off-the-shelf PC’s pre-installed with Windows 7 and don’t have the installation DVD.

I haven’t had the “blue screen of death” since Windows 2000. Maybe I’ve just been lucky.

@6StringKng – A BSOD actually tells you a lot. You just have to know how to debug it properly. Microsoft provides the tools to do so for free. A BSOD is not a random error. They are called for by the exe and/ or process to halt the system. This protects the system, and provides dump files under C:\Windows\minidump or where ever you installed Windows to.

I’ve had one BSoD with Windows 7 so far, was pretty random. I was playing BF2 pretty much all day yesterday AND the day before then it crashed for no apparent reason, not like the BSoD tells you much anyway…as long as it doesn’t keep doing it I won’t be forced to revert to XP xD which I really don’t want to do.
